The Shawnee Hills Boat and Water Ski Club was established in 1997 as a recreational and social nonprofit organization. The club goals are to stimulate interest in the community in water activities, work toward greater safety at Shawnee Lake in boating and water skiing and to initiate and participate in community improvement activities.

Members of the club conduct 2 ski clinics each summer to provide instruction as needed for water skiing, knee boarding, wake boarding, etc. The club typically meets the second Friday of each month at 7:00 pm to discuss and plan for upcoming activities.
